Gen 8 PU

JustATypicalPerson (Quagsire) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature / Impish Nature
- Scald / Earthquake
- Encore
- Recover
- Toxic

Look! It's Me! As you can tell, this is another physical walling set. Begin with using Encore to trap your opponent into the last used move, and use toxic to begin toxic stalling. Use Recover in case you get below half HP, and if not, use Scald or Earthquake for the extra chip damage. Scald's 30% burn chance is the reason why it's on this moveset, as it's to help with the Poison and Steel types you come across. Earthquake has the similar purpose, as instead of burning those foes, it's a high power effective STAB against Poison and Steel types you come across, I still recommend using Scald, as you're vulnerable to Flying types and mons with levitate, and especially Weezing of all things. Use Bold Nature if you're using Scald, and use Impish if you're running Earthquake.

Without further ado, have fun toxic stalling!

Gen 7 UU

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Earthquake
- Scald
- Recover
- Haze / Toxic

Unaware makes Quagsire a staple of Stall teams, who can't always handle threatening boosters like Swords Dance Scizor. Earthquake is STAB. Scald has a good chance to burn physical attackers, and the extra STAB boost is nice additional chip damage. Recover is reliable recovery, which almost any defensive Pokemon needs. Haze can get rid of the enemy's boosts to support its teammates, Toxic is passive damage.

Partners

Since Quagsire fits almost exclusively on Stall, Pokemon like Gligar, Alomomola, and Blissey are great partners. Blissey's Heal Bell is a remedy any annoying Toxic which has afflicted Quagsire. Blissey appreciates Quagsire's ability to deal with the common physical boosters in the tier, and Quagsire enjoys Blissey's ability to take special attacks.

Quagsire @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 192 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stockpile / Waterfall
- Recover
- Infestation
- Toxic

Toxic works well with Infestation and Stockpile is for the lack of Defense EVs. You can switch Stockpile with Amnesia but if you do, I recommend switching the Defense and Special Defense EVs for obvious reasons. you can also switch Stockpile for Waterfall and use this EV spread if you want to sweep a little: 252 HP/ 188 SDef/ 60 Def/ 4 Atk.

Sir Quag I. IV Gen

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD
Brave Nature
- Dive
- Curse
- Amnesia
- Yawn

Dive: STAB, pretty good after you use Curse and a way to avoid damage.
Curse: Defense and Attack power up. (Also a speed boost if used in the right team)
Amnesia: For some even more bulk.
Yawn: So you get to do all this with out the foe attacking.

Since it doesn't get Recover 'till Gen V, I use him in double battles and take advantage of moves like Surf to heal him.

Gen VI

Quagsire @ Mystic Water / Soft Sand
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch / Ice Beam
- Recover

Waterfall: STAB, secondary power.
Earthquake: STAB, main power.
Ice Punch/Ice Beam: Ice Punch is the first choice, however it's very hard to get for Generation VI, substitute Ice Punch with Ice Beam. His special attack isn't that great but it's to try and repel his 4x weakness to Grass.
Recover: Heals half health, goes well with his high HP. I love healing moves too.

Never was a big fan of Quagsire, just not a big fan of his design.

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb / Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk 252 Def or 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Relaxed / Sassy Nature
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Yawn
- Haze / Curse

Yawn to sleep your opponent, or if they switch when you do this, switch loop them. Attack on the turn when they switch, if they have a flying type that has been in, waterfall as you know what's coming if you don't. If they stat boost baton pass to avoid sleep, use haze. I don't know what to call this set, an annoying sweeper, or an annoyer I'd say. Haze for Water Absorb, and Curse for Unaware.
Bear in mind, I use a TR team, so I chose speed lowering natures. If you aren't using a TR to make use of his low speed, use a sp.atk lowering one instead.

Swegsire (Quagsire) @ Leftovers
Quagsire
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 SpD (Physically Defensive) or 252 HP / 100 Def / 156 SpD (Specially Defensive)
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Toxic
- Recover
- Stockpile

This set won me games and saved me from getting swept numerous times. While it's a generic stall set, it's powerful nonetheless. Swegsire practically shuts down every buff sweeper (which are getting pretty common) with Unaware. Just keep this away from Grass types and anything with Mold Breaker or a similar ability
Scald is used over Waterfall so you can burn things like Aegislash and Scizor while still being able to hit Heatran. Toxic brings in the stall hammer that Swegsire does ever so well. Recover gives you the heals and gives your opponents the desire to ragequit. Stockpile lets you get up some OP defenses.

Incredibly Annoying Quagsire

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Body Slam
- Swagger
- Infestation
- Waterfall

Infestation the foe to trap them. Then Swagger them, and if they can get an attack off, the Attack boost won't matter, cuz Unaware! Body Slam has a good chance to paralyze, creating the infamous ParaFuse combo. Waterfall is used to wear the opponent down and is STAB.

The stalling master strikes again! Quadsire isn't an evasive staller but it definitely packs a punch.

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Impish Nature
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
- Amnesia
- Toxic
- Recover
- Protect

  • Amnesia: This is why I invest EVs into Defense and HP, Amnesia makes his Special Defense on par with the increased Defense.
  • Toxic: What's a good stalling Pokemon without Toxic?
  • Recover: To restore health. It is very valuable with high Defense and high Special Defense from Amnesia.
  • Protect: To keep you protected for time being.

Ultimate physical set up shutdown:

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Haze
- Scald
- Recover
- Earthquake

  • Haze (Ruins stat gains)
  • Scald (Damage plus good chance to burn)
  • Recover (Sustain)
  • Earthquake (STAB and super effective damage on Bisharp and Mega Charizard X)

This is to wall physical setup sweepers. Haze to ruin stat changes. Scald to damage and burn plus STAB.
Recover for sustaining high health, and Earthquake for STAB and high power. If your team is weak to physical setup attackers, this ruins them.

I run this set and it's very efficient and fun. Got a lot of people in battlespot rage quitting because of it.

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Recover
- Amnesia
- Swagger
- Counter

  • Recover - Keeps Quagsire in the battle as long as possible
  • Amnesia - Gets rid of the lack of SpD
  • Swagger - Free confusion, since Quagsire doesn't care about the stat boost
  • Counter - Very useful, especially against life orb and choice band users

This makes most physical attackers basically useless. The only thing you really have to watch out for are hard hitting special attacks, taunt and grass types/moves.

Fling Set

Gen 8
Quagsire @ Iron Ball
Ability: Water Absorb/ Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Fling
- Thief
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake / Liquidation

Strategy: Use Fling with Iron Ball for a lot of damage. Use Thief once you use Fling so you can get your opponents item and fling that. Unaware could be useful in some situations. Water Absorb could be good in Double battles if you have another Pokemon with surf. Honestly, I don't like the Damp ability, but you can use it if you want.

  • Fling with Iron Ball results with a power of 130!
  • Thief deals damage and steals the opponent's item (so you can use fling again)
  • Ice Punch provides Coverage against grass types and can freeze the target
  • Earthquake gets STAB and has 100 power and accuracy; Liquidation has STAB and has a power of 85 and 100 accuracy plus it has a 20% chance to lower defense, which is good for this set

Tips: watch out for grass types as they can outspeed you and OHKO your Quagsire with a powerful grass type move.

I hope you like this moveset! :)

Role: Unaware Stall/Sweeper Dual Purpose

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Impish Nature (+Def, -SpA)
- Waterfall
- Amnesia
- Curse
- Recover

You can use any chip move in the first slot, but I prefer Waterfall. This thing is just straight up annoying. No comment. A few Curses, or Amnesias, or both, and you just can’t kill it. Just stay away from Grass moves.

(Edit: Impish, not Bold.)
Waterfall - Damage to opponents
Amnesia - Boost special defense
Curse - Defense and attack increase (For bulk and increased damage)
Recover - to not die

why bold nature if your running curse. Also don't use waterfall if you have bold nature.

Updated Moveset k

Wooper @ Eviolite (Make sure to only send this out on a physical attacker)
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stockpile
- Curse
- Recover
- Waterfall/Scald/Aqua Tail

This is more like a support if everything fails against a physical attacker

Stockpile is for defense and Special Defense boosts
Curse is for even more Defense boosts if the attacker is weak or if you are facing an enemy too strong
Recover is self explanitory
Waterfall/Scald/Aqua Tail If you want more pp then use waterfall. If you want to make them have a burn then scald. If you want to dish out the most damage use Aqua tail

curse wuagsier for (maybe) Gen 9 UU. Grassy Rillaboom ruins all Quag sets honestly.

> wuagsier (Quagsire) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Poison / Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Recover
- Earthquake
- Liquidation
- Curse

Liquidation and Earthquake is just STAB. Recover is great healing. Curse is setup. +252 Atk gives max attack but doesn't really hit hard, but with Curse it hits nicely. Poison / Steel Tera gives Grass resist, but Steel is recommended just for the better typing.
