Which is better quagsire or gastrodon for singles?

Seismitoad is better than both, especially if you're playing OU instead of BSS.

It honestly depends, but that's probably not what you want to hear.

Quagsire deals with set up more with unaware, negating any stat changes. It also has STAB earthquake and passable attack.
Gastrodon has better SP.AT and Storm Drain, so more offensive pressure, and better HP and SP.DEF. It also commonly runs Muddy Water for accuracy drops.

Muddy water is ran in doubles, scald is run in singles.

while gastrodon has a higher base stat total, Quagsire has better physical attack, and Quagsire also has a much better movepool. it all comes down to whether you want a special attacker or a physical.
