Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a new game set in the Sinnoh region, in the distant past. It follows a similar graphical style to Pokémon Sword & Shield. It keeps previous games' core gameplay but adds new actions and RPG elements.

Gameplay
The story is set in the distant past, before people became Pokémon Trainers. Much of the region is a vast wild area. The aim of the game is to create the region's first Pokédex, by studying Pokémon and capturing them. Unlike previous games set in Sinnoh, the player starts with one of three Pokémon originally from different regions - Rowlet (from Alola), Cyndaquil (from Johto), or Oshawott (from Unova).
