Would this Gurdurr strat work?

Question

So I have this idea that involves evolite gurdurr along with its ability guts, so what happens is that gurdurr carries a flame orb and uses protect on the first turn, keeping it safe, then a Pokemon with trick comes in and tricks(in my case,Rotom wash) gurdurr an evolite and from then on gurdurr does it’s thing. Would this strat be viable?

As ~TastyMushroom~ ):< said, it would be much easier and efficient to just use Will-o-wisp on Rotom-Wash rather then Trick with Flame Orb. This would also let Rotom-Wash hold a useful item.

There is...quite literally no reason to use it lmao. Let me list out all of it's bad qualities...of which there are many.

Why this thing sucks lmao, as well as the strat

• What if, theoretically, taunting the rotom
• Gurdurr has like...no power even with guts compared to the restricted
• Literally Xerneas
• Stupidly intimidate weak from hitmontop, as well as landorus therian
• Bulky, but not that bulky
• Did I mention Xerneas?
• Yveltal is very common, foul play lmao
• Kyogre murders it
• Zacian weak (not as in typing, it never runs play rough)
• Volcarona destroys fighting moves
• Amoongus eaaaats fighting moves
• Calyrex Shadow kills everything lol
• Tornadus kills it
• Indeedee-F + Expanding force kills it lol
• Whimsicott weak
• Fini weak
• Lele weak
• Eternatus weak
• Celesteela weak

So here's my shortened list :)

Ok, but in all seriousness, if you really want to use a fighting type, use the urshifus

I think Hitmontop is the best bulky fighting Pokemon in VGC right now. Feint, fake out, and intimidate are better than eviolite and guts.

Well, if you're using gurdurr, you're going for pure power, with some bulk. The urshifus + assault vest are actually really good, they have bulk. While hitmontop is ok, it is outclassed by incineroar because of bad defensive typing, lack of important resistances, and not very good support options.

Intimidate is definitely better than eviolite, but like, use incineroar instead and run urshifu lol
