In my opinion, you should use Drednaw. It has an excellent Ability in Strong Jaw, and that plus a solid Attack stat make it beastly. It may be slow, and it does have a fairly shallow movepool, but it can be obtained earlier and more easily than Golisopod. Golisopod is also greatly hindered by its Ability, and while it doesn't matter as much in-game, it can still get very annoying.
