Golisopod @ Life Orb
Ability : Emergency Exit
EVs: 116 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Def / 96 SpD
Adamant Nature

  • First Impression
  • Aqua Jet
  • Sucker Punch
  • Liquidation / Leech Life

You've got to make use of one's ability in order to use him perfectly. Since it gets wear down by hazards, Life Orb Recoil, damaging moves, it will reach half Hp, so you got to use Priority moves in the first turn. If you don't reach half Hp, then use Liquidation or Leech Life. The EV spread allows him to withstand hits. You got to beware of Psychic Terrain since it protects grounded Pokemon from priority moves. Leech Life is more recommended to heal up the life orb.

I think the correct EV spread you wanted was 116 HP/252 Atk/44 Def/96 Sp.Def. The way you have it now, you have an extra 2 EVs in Def.   :V
Pretty perfect.

Golisopod @ Assault Vest
Ability: Emergency Exit
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature

  • Leech Life
  • Razor Shell
  • Sucker Punch
  • First Impression

Explanation: Assult Vest is the Best item for Golisopod so it can have some extra Special Defense bulk. Leech Life is STAB and used for Healing. I choose Razor Shell over Liquidation because Razor Shell has a 50% Chance to lower the foe's Defense by One Stage and it's STAB. Sucker Punch is Priority. First Impression is STAB and Priority but you can only use it on the First turn of Battle (Just like Fake Out).

Umm... Liquidation is MUCH better than razor shell, sure its effect chance is lower, but it is much more powerful (Must I say the highest base power of all physical water type moves) and much more reliable with 100% accuracy. Razor shell with most likely fail when you need it most as Murphy's law states. The only other thing that I would change is first impression to poison jab but that's a preference thing. Otherwise, great set!
What benefit would poison jab do you? You don't need one move just to cover fairies.
As I said in my comment it's a preference, there is no real reason for it logically, it's just that I think poison jab would be more useful due to poisoning and that first impression only works once, but if you want to use it be my guest! Also, I see that some people think that first impression resets after you switch out, but I'm pretty sure it's like fake out.
Fire Impression is like Fake Out. Both of them reset once they switch out and back in. You can use them multiple times.
Oh never knew that, thanks! That's really sad that I'm just finding this out now since I've been playing since Emerald. :P

Golisopod... I loved this Pokemon just as soon as my boy Guzma chuked it at me. This Pokemon is a solid defender and can deal out lots of damage with First Impresion.

Golisopod @ Assault Vest
Ability: Emergency Exit
EVs: 252 Atk / 128 SpD / 128 Def
Adamant Nature
- First Impression
- Sucker Punch
- Liquidation / Razor Shell
- Aqua Jet / Swords Dance / Leech Life

  • First Impresion (Amazing with Ability)
  • Sucker Punch (Priority)
  • Liquidation /Razor Shell (STAB)
  • Aqua Jet / Swords Dance / Leech Life

Fixed artwork that did not load properly.
Thanks Fizz
if youre choosing swords dance for a move then maybe assault vest isnt a gret idea since its a status move
Life orb is a good replacement if your using swords dance

Golisopod @ Mystic Water / Sitrus Berry
Ability: Emergency Exit
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant / Impish Nature

  • First Impression
  • Aqua Jet
  • Sucker Punch
  • Spikes

Spikes are a common free setup because opponents will switch out expecting a First Impression. All other moves are priority so Golisopod's speed doesn't hold it back.

Golisopod @ Red Card

  • First Impression (Lol, Wynaut?)
  • X-Scissor (You'll need another Bug-type move; Go with this)
  • Liquidation (The flinching from Waterfall is nothing with this Ability. Go with Liquidation)
  • Drill Run (Covers 2 of 3 weakness)

Hope I Helped!

Type: Water/Bug

Golisopod @ Assault Vest / Life Orb
Ability: Emergency Exit
EVs: 64 HP / 252 Atk / 192 Def
Adamant Nature
- First Impression
- Aqua Jet / Liquidation
- Leech Life
- Iron Defense / Sucker Punch

It all depends on how you want to make use of the ability. Either you want to deal as much damage as you can before you switch out, or if want to stay above that 50% HP for as long as you can (Quickly sweep and switch out), go with the Aqua Jet and Sucker Punch set (with Life Orb, OBVIOUSLY). Why Aqua Jet over Liquidation? Because of priority.
Like, if this thing went up against a Mega-Blaziken with Brave Bird, would you like to move first or last? Your choice completely, but most like you are going to get fainted by that godly speed and super effective damage, even if Aqua Jet does not have enough power to faint it, it will at least make it so that the next Pokémon will have an easy kill. The rest is pretty simple so I am not going to explain. If you want to go with a bulky set, Leech Life will keep you alive. Assault Vest and Iron Defense with it’s already superior defensive stats make it technically invincible, the only downside it that you can only sweep with Liquidation (and First Impression for the first turn. Hope I helped?

Gen 8 NU
Golisopod
Golisopod @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Emergency Exit
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- First Impression
- Aqua Jet
- Liquidation / Knock Off
- Leech Life

Heavy Duty Boots is to prevent Golisopod from taking Stealth Rock damage and other entry hazards. First Impression is to be used on your first turn, and is STAB. Aqua Jet is also priority STAB. Liquidation and Leech Life are also STAB, and Leech Life scan help you recover HP. You could replace Liquidation with Knock Off to remove the opponent's item.

No coverage at all? Just two water-STAB moves and two Bug-STAB moves?
They all have different purposes; First Impression for a powerful first-turn priority, Aqua Jet for regular priority, Liquidation for Water STAB / Knock Off for removing items + coverage, and Leech Life for recovery.

Gen 8 SS Monotype Spikes (Bug)

Golisopod @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Emergency Exit
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Adamant Nature
- First Impression
- Taunt
- Spikes
- Liquidation

Golisopod is a good Pokemon for Bug teams in SS Monotype thanks to its ability to setup Spikes as well as being able to generate momentum with Emergency Exit, which allows you to bring in Pokemon such as Guts Flame Orb Heracross safely. First Impression provides Golisopod with a strong priority move that can revenge kill opposing Pokemon, as well as being able to deal with things such as Zarude and Weavile. (Keep in mind First Impression works on the first turn whenever Golisopod is out, hence the name First Impression) Taunt stops slower Pokemon such as Specially Defensive Tyranitar, Galarian Weezing, and Celesteela from using status moves. Spikes is used to provide Bug teams with hazard support so opposing Pokemon can be worn down faster, which is useful for wallbreakers such as Heracross. Liquidation is used as Water STAB.

Heavy-Duty Boots is used as the item so Golisopod doesn't get worn down by entry hazards such as Stealth Rock and Spikes. 184 Speed EVs is used to outspeed Specially Defensive Tyranitar and Defensive Celesteela. The Speed EVs also allow Golisopod to outspeed Galarian Weezing to be able to use Taunt on Galarian Weezing so it won't be able to use Defog to get rid of the Spikes.

What I meant was spikes isn't good on Golisopod due to his ability since its easy to remove him from the field.
...You are aware there are defensive Pokemon like Celesteela in Monotype, which provides an opportunity for Golisopod to setup Spikes, right? There's also Pokemon that switch out when Golisopod is out, creating another opportunity to use Spikes.
