Hello, I was wondering, for those of you who don't know me very well, I like to have a fire, water, and grass type on my team. I just recently started an Emerald Nuzlocke, and missed both the seedot encounter on route 102, and the Shroomish encounter in Petalburg Woods, and yes, I know there are other seedot encounters later, and although I did catch a ralts on 102, I don't really want to trade it in Rustboro, so what would be a good, early grass type I can get in Emerald for my Nuzlocke? Thanks!

If you missed Seedot and Shroomish, the next other fully evolved Grass types are Ludicolo, Vileplume, Bellossom, Cacturne, Cradily, and Tropius. Of these, Lotad is probably the easiest to get, and Ludicolo gets good moves like Ice Beam and Giga Drain. Its main trouble is that Water Stones are a bit hard to come by.

Tropius comes later, but it's one of the best HM slaves in the game. It's okay at battling, but it shines as one of the most consistent utility Pokemon you can use. Ludicolo does well with HMs too, but its better suited to battling.

In terms of encounters you can actually guarantee in a Nuzlocke, Cradily is the safest bet. It's not amazing, with terrible offenses and an equally bad level-up movepool, but its defenses and decent typing make it a fine tank if you need to heal other Pokemon in battle.

Thanks, I'll probably do that, unfortunately, since I also missed the Lotad on 102, that means I'll have to wait, but that's ok.
Also, for additional context, I plan on using my Ralts, Mudkip, Wingull and Poochyana as part of my continued team.
In case that changes anything, like I'm not sure having three water types is the best move for a Nuzlocke party.
Should I still go Ludicolio, or try a different one?
Either of Oddish's final stages will suffice.
Gotcha
I'd say Vileplume is better than Ludicolo at battling, mostly because it learns sleep powder and evolves earlier.
