Gen 9 Monotype / Gen 9 National Dex Monotype Nasty Plot (Dark)

Chi-Yu @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Beads of Ruin
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Psychic / Substitute / Flame Charge

This is the Nasty Plot set Chi-Yu uses on Dark teams in Gen 9 Monotype. Nasty Plot boosts Chi-Yu's Special Attack, which adds on to Chi-Yu's insane breaking power due to its Ability, Beads of Ruin. Dark Pulse is used as Dark STAB that has a chance to flinch. Flamethrower is used for Fire STAB. Psychic is used to hit Pokemon such as Annihilape, Clodsire, Dragalge, and Iron Moth super effectively. Substitute can be used to take advantage of switches and can help you setup Nasty Plot. Flame Charge can be used instead to boost your speed to allow you to outspeed faster Pokemon. Flame Charge is used for the speed boost(s), not for doing as much damage as possible.

Chi-Yu @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beads of Ruin
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overheat
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
- Psychic

This set functions as a revenge killer. Psychic helps beat fighters and possibly poisons. Overheat is a great nuke to do a lot of damage to bulkier targets. Flamethrower is strong STAB that doesn't lower your special attack. Dark Pulse is STAB with a nice bonus flinch chance. You could run tera dark to boost Dark Pulse's power, or fire to make your Overheat's hit like double dump trucks, or psychic to surprise fighters with a resistance and more damage. Tera grass or fairy could be a replacement for Psychic or Overheat, but I would remove Psychic if you are going to run tera on Chi-Yu. Fairy hits Roaring Moon and other darks and dragons and grass gives ground resistance and a nice hit against bulky waters, grounds, and rocks. There might be a tera type that I'm not looking over, so please criticize if necessary.

This set doesn't have a tera type, I'd suggest tera dark to be more of a threat to fire immune Pokemon like a terastilized Ceruledge and Dachsubun
Ok, thanks

Gen 9 OU

Chi-Yu @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Choice Specs / Choice Scarf
Ability: Beads of Ruin
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Lava Plume
- Hex
- Overheat
- Dark Pulse

This is an interesting set I made which aims to burn Chi-Yu's checks like Tyranitar, Hariyama, and Ting-Lu, while maintaining its ability to beat Ceruledge and Baxcalibur. STAB Lava Plume is very strong and makes it risky for anything to reliably switch into Chi-Yu without getting burned. Hex allows Chi-Yu to hit Hariyama hard when it's burned, Overheat and Dark Pulse are your average Chi-yu nukes. Ghost is a mainly defensive Tera type that gives Chi-Yu an immunity to things like Mach Punch from Breloom and Pawmot, and Extreme Speed from Dragonite, which will try to revenge-kill you. It also makes you immune to Hariyama's Drain Punch, Dachsubun's Body Press and gives you neutrality to something like Ting-Lu's Earthquake or Tyranitar's Rock Blast. It also boosts the power of Hex which lets you at least do something to Dachsubun.

I'm not going to go too in depth with teammates as this set is borderline cheese, but Clodsire is a pretty nice partner for spreading Toxic and using Spikes. Pokemon that have shared checks with Chi-yu like Dragonite, Dragapult, Espathra, and Roaring Moon enjoy having Chi-yu cripple their checks and can later handily defeat them.

psychic does more than hex to hariyama and covers other fighting types better

Gen 9 AG Wallbreaker

Chi-Yu @ Leftovers
Ability: Beads of Ruin
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
- Psychic
- Nasty Plot / Will-O-Wisp

Pretty average wallbreaker set. Switch into a resisted move, Nasty Plot, and proceed to obliterate with your STAB options of Flamethrower and Dark Pulse, and a coverage option of Psychic. Tera Psychic to boost Psychic and for a resistance to Koraidon’s Collision Course. Baton Passes from Espathra are appreciated, Calm Mind & Speed Boost.

Gen 9 Ubers Wallbreaker

Chi-Yu @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beads of Ruin
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
- Psychic
- Memento

Love this thing. Modest Scarf outspeeds all of the unboosted meta, and under Sun, Flamethrower is a menace. Dark Pulse for STAB, Psychic for coverage along with Tera Psychic, and Memento to give a setup sweeper like Flame Charge Swords Dance Koraidon a free switch.

Chi-Yu @ Life Orb
Ability: Beads of Ruin
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heat Wave
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
- Protect

This set mainly focuses on dealing huge damage with Heat Wave. Flamethrower is in situations when you can't afford to miss, and dark pulse for STAB. Protect b/c why not. Tera Water is honestly a good tera on chi-yu, but if you want, you can run tera fairy too.
