For you science people who play Pokemon, please help me out on this. In Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire's Delta Episode an asteroid with a diameter of 6 miles is headed towards Earth and Mega-Rayquaza shatters the rock by smashing into it head first.
How much force did Rayquaza use to shatter the asteroid assuming of course Mega-Rayquaza is indestructible during the process?

It would depend on the density of the asteroid. Is it a C, S, or M class asteroid?

I think it was going to destroy the planet.
How fast was moving? At 11 kilometers per second it would have to be 60% of the Earth's mass to destroy Earth.
Or just Hoenn… I don't remember. But something was going to blow up.
It takes around 3.6399584684878466e+32 joules to destroy the Earth. I'll do the calculations when someone tells me the speed.
It's impossible to know the speed, just estimate it. If we assume it had the power to destroy the world, and compared to Rayquaza's size, I'd personally say it was the middle class (I don't know what letter that is) travelling at a reasonably high speed.

The asteroid would have to be 10x bigger to destroy Earth, according to two science-y websites. So it must've just been destroying Hoenn.

Hoenn is based off the island of Kyushu. Kyushu is 13,761 miles squared (35,640.826 kilometers squared)
I'm just gonna type in all I can conclude here.

Rayquaza in it's impact passes straight through the asteroid; this force required to do that is basically:
= area of impact (Rayquaza's head) * pressure exerted

But, pressure needed to pass through the asteroid is an unknown, since we have no clear indications as to the composition of the asteroid. If it were made of metal or, heck, even diamond (for argument's sake) it would require a lot of force to break through. We don't even know if the asteroid had a semi-crystalline or amorphous structure.

At the same time, it depends on where Rayquaza hit the asteroid: if it is semi-crystalline, then hitting the crystal edges require a lot more force to pass through than if it hits a flat crystal face. If it is amorphous, say held together by sand, then passing through it requires much less force. If it is amorphous with crystalline particles, then again, it depends on where the asteroid is hit, which we have absolutely no clue of.

Then comes the matter of disintegrating our asteroid. This cannot be calculated without the exact structure of the asteroid: it's shape, it's composition, it's density, where it was hit, everything. And so far, we haven't even factored in the collision force required to nullify the asteroid's force exerted (for that small area Rayquaza strikes) which requires the asteroid's acceleration as it moves toward's Earth's gravitational pull.

It gets even wackier when you realize Deoxys was taking up some space inside that asteroid, and that Rayquaza is not perfectly aerodynamic when it escapes the atmosphere because of a certain human sitting on it. In my opinion, this is pretty much an impossible calculation. Tell me if I missed something out or am wrong anywhere tho.

I can explain it in easily understandable English.

1) Mega Rayqyaza is hella strong.
2) The asteroid was hella big.
3) Compared to the asteroid, Mega Rayquaza is hella small.
4) Therefore, Mega Rayquaza would have to be going HELLA  FAST in order to disintegrate the asteroid.

So, the calculation looks something like this:

(hella small ÷ hella big) + hella strong = hella fast

Just saying, but I think this should be hidden now. We've reached the point where we just have too much unanswered stuff
Just bcz it's unanswered doesn't mean it needs to be hidden. It's not breaking the rules or it wouldn't have been up for so long
But it literally cannot be answered. No seriously, there's way too many variables.
We could assume a bunch of stuff as its a Pokémon game we could take it as a standard asteroid with a standard density n blah blah n calculate... The game designers wouldn't hv specifically assigned features to the asteroid bar visuals.
But then it wouldn't be a correct answer if it's based on a bunch of assumptions.
Besides, there's no such thing called standard asteroid with standard density :<
For that matter, anything related to space has no measured standards.
Maybe, but by standard as in the most common asteroid that humans research or come across while researching...
And there wouldn't be an answer if there wasnt a bunch of assumptions, it's like a physics problem where we consider viscosity negligible in some cases, friction negligible in others and etc but still wearing consider the answer to be correct... And how we apply ideal gas laws to real gases assuming that they behave ideally and blah blah

Well... now that I think of it, while Rayquaza pierced into that asteroid, the player also did. Meaning our character should have been shredded to millions of pokepieces and scattered through the universe.

This question has way to many holes to answer, but i found something out, it appears mega rayquaza either did a barrel role when it hit the asteroid or ray shrunk, look at the cut scene slowed down it's all there.

It would not be a direct impact force. That would work more like a nail hitting a piece of wood.

GF seemed to approach this situation logically. Think of the asteroid as a semi-soft clay ball, roughly the size of a soccer ball. If a small, thin object were to connect with it while exerting the energy required to shatter it, the object would easily pierce the ball. Think of pressing a battery into the ball for this example.

Now, imagine a black cat firework, roughly the same size as the battery used in example one. Press this into the clay ball and light the fuse. When the firework explodes, the clay ball will shatter as well. This will be example two.

Example three will use the same firework, only this time, it will be placed against the clay ball. When the firework goes off, the clay ball will move, but we'll likely receive very little damage, if any.

I imagine this playing out like scenario two. If Rayquaza simply flew hard at the asteroid, he would have gone through it. If he hit it with an energy blast from the outside, he would merely have moved it off course or possibly split it.

Rayquaza entered the meteor and unleashed his draconian energy. Having nowhere to go, said energy would build up pressure and, ultimately, cause the meteor to explode dramatically. Now... let's assume the meteor is highly silicon based, as many spatial entities are, as are most non gas planets. Basically, we are looking at a giant rock.

It was not a sphere, so I will eyeball a guess that the rock was 6 miles at its longest point and not its shortest. That gives a maximum radius of 3 miles. Rayquaza had to exert at least enough energy to shatter that from within. Not hard to create an estimate of the force required.

My best guess? Roughly 40 percent of the force of a nuclear warhead would be the most needed to do this. Therefore, Rayquaza exerted that much energy or more.

No. You can't walk around it. You cannot use your firebreathing dragon to burn a tree or your bird to fly over it. You need the stupid HM and corresponding badge. Same with ledges. Why can't you get your gigantic rock snake to give you a boost? I mean I know it is for gameplay purposes but it is still pathetic. I highly doubt the player is extraordinary in any way.
They should replace trees with... like. .. ledges, but in reverse and give an hm called leap.  Replace cut with that
Yeah, it's not like irl you could just brush past the tiny tree.
