How did a greninja use scald on my primal groudon when nobody used airlock,primordial sea, or cloud nine?

I was fighting someone and I had trevenent, primal groudon and rayquaza.
He had lilligant, greninja and rotom-mow. No weather moves were used and his greninja used scald on primal groudon! how does that work? I'M SO ANGRY

First off, lolz Swift missed how? It has infinite (∞) accuracy, meaning that it *cannot*, under any circumstances, miss. The other team probably ued some for of Protect or Mat Block, meaning that Swift never hit in the first place.

Second, what Battle Format is this? Singles, Triples, etc.

Maybe it's because scald can cause burn. scald is an attack with boiling water. so maybe scald is an exception to the rule.

Raquazza has Air lock as an ability which negated desolate land and mega rayquazza having delta stream, would've done the same.

it was singles and rayquaza wa my first he used greninja and OHKOed my rayquaza with I've beam and sent out primal groudon and then greninja used scald when desolate land was in place

and p.s he used hydro pump it missed then i used swift and it said that swift missed
