Where can I find a Old Amber in XY?

I read many forums to answer this question, and most people say you can get it by smashing rocks in glittering cave.

So I spent nearly an hour breakin rocks on route 8 when I were supposed to be in a cave? The npc just says to break blocks but that makes sense.

The good thing is that no mobs spawn while walking around down there. You can just keep leaving the room and coming back in to reset the rocks and farm for the Old Amber.
