Sometimes when I attack a Sub, it doesn't go. Why is this?

It doesn't brake the sub because it didnt do over 25% of the opponent's HP. The substitute absorbs 1/4th of the users HP and then if the opponent doesnt deal over 25% of the users hp the substitute stays. Using leftovers doesn't heal the substitute, though.

Cause pokemon's are machines with "Brake's" on them...

Substitutes always have a certain ammount of HP depending on the Pokemon and it's stats. When you hit that substitute, the power wasn't strong enough to kill it. It's like around 20 or 25 or 30% of the regular Pokemon's health, I think.
