Great, another instance of backlash against video games for featuring sexual assault. Apparently all they're allowed to do is be cartoony and fun? Dark and tackling real world issues? Fine in the accepted forms of books, movies, and TV shows. But not in video games.

Well all I just said is pretty stupid. Not as stupid as the complaining of the rest of the internet, but still pretty stupid.

The service has a trial period until January 31. This means you can just transfer your Pokemon and then not use the service ever again. This is actually quite consumer friendly.

So my thoughts on the Pokemon Bank service:

 If the price Pokemaster posted is near to what it will actually be, then I have no problem at all with it. $5 is a drop in the bucket, and you can probably get that in a year just by picking money off from the floor, saving the change you get for buying stuff, not buying from vending machines, and just everything like that. Such a small fee I can easily see just as a means to pay for the service. Which is something that is very much needed, since the cost of a cloud saving service is in the millions.

One thing I know for a fact is that this service is far less expensive than the previous way of doing things, which was forcing you to own a second handheld system in order to transfer your games.

Damn it, turns out we sold our copy of Kiki's Delivery Service at a garage sale. ;-;
