Kylani opened her eyes a little bit, the sun glaring in them. She was confused. What happened? Why did she feel so strange? She had faint memories, like voices that she couldn't recognize. She stood up and realized that she was using her hands to stand up as well as her feet. She looked down to realize that her hands looked... different. They were blue and looked like paws. She gasped and looked at herself. She wasn't human. She was a blueish-white, quadruped Pokémon with a tail. She had turned into a Glaceon! Panicking, she cried for help, but there was no response. She dashed about frantically, crying for help. What should she do? Where should she go? Would she ever be turned back into a human? Suddenly, a man walked up to her. She stepped back nervously. "Heh. Must be my lucky day." he said, and sent out a Scrafty. "Now, Scrafty! Use High Jump Kick!" The Scrafty jumped into the air and suddenly dived down, about to hit Kylani with its knee, but, in alarm, she jumped out of the way. The Scrafty seemed to be in pain as it missed, taking damage. "Oh, come on!" the man yelled. Kylani ran off, terrified. She cried out, in Pokémon language, "Help me!"

Back where N and Hex are, N is just regaining consciousness. "...Ugh..." he muttered, and sat up. "...What the...?" "You're finally awake!" Hex exclaimed. "Who in the heck are you?" he asked, rubbing his eyes. "I'm Hex. I'm a friend of that girl that lead me to you. At least, I think I am. What do you remember?" "What? Well... Growlithe ran off... then... then that Salandit poisoned me!" "I cured you, so you don't have to worry about that, at least." Growlithe slowly walked towards N, looking a bit afraid. "There you are!" he said. He looked at Growlithe and noticed his injuries. He slowly reached out his hand, and Growlithe licked it in a friendly manner. "Poor thing... you must've been badly treated if you're being friendly to a stranger-" Suddenly, he heard something. A voice calling for help. It seemed to come from nowhere. "What the...? What was that?!" "What was what?" "A voice... I'm sure I heard it... it was calling for help..." Hex looked at him like he was crazy. "It was so familiar..." Then he heard it again, louder and more desperate. "Kylani!" he cried, getting up. "Who?" "That girl that you said lead you to me! Her name's Kylani! And she's in trouble!" "Ah!" Hex exclaimed. "Come on! Let's go find her!" N called, running off. Hex followed while Growlithe stared after them sadly.

After a while of running, the pair is exhausted. "Where could she be...?" N muttered. "I dunno, but I gotta sit down..." Hex said, and promptly fell over. N sighed. "Uh..." said a voice. Both of them looked and saw Pika standing there, looking confused. "Pika?!" "What's... going on?" she asked, obviously confused. "Pika, we could use your help!" "Who's a Pika...?" Hex muttered. "What happened?" "It's Kylani! She's in trouble!" "W-What?!" "Can you help?!" "Of course! Let's-" she suddenly cut herself off and looked over her shoulder anxiously. "Why're you... what're you looking at...?" Hex asked groggily. "It's just... I'm worried about Gladion..." "Gladion? Why are you worried about him?" "Well... he has a fever, and I'm trying to help him recover... I don't want to leave him there alone... although Lillie will help him out 'cause she's there..." "A fever?" "Yeah, he hurt himself and has a fever..." "Well, I'm sure... Gladiator or whatever his name is... will be fine for a few minutes..." Hex muttered. "Hex, get up, please." N said, sighing. Hex groaned and started shoving herself up. "Hex? Who's Hex?" Pika asked. "She's Hex." N responded, pointing at her. Hex gave the two of them a thumbs-up. Pika laughed. "Okay! Let's go, you two!" N said, and dashed off. "Oh no, more running..." Hex muttered. "I just sat down..." The two of them chased after N.

Kylani walked around, wondering how N was doing. Was Hex helping him? Would he be okay?  Then she saw Lillie. "Lillie?" Lillie turned and called "Kylani!" "Say, Lillie, do you know where Pika is?" "Pika? She's at the mansion." "The mansion? Why?" "Well... you see, Gladion got hurt and has a fever... and Pika's taking care of him." "A fever?!" she cried in alarm. "Wait a second, you just left him there with Pika?" Lillie nodded. "Yes, Pika's taking good care of him. You could come visit, if you want..." "Okay! Let's go, then!" Kylani said, and dashed off in the direction of the mansion. "Hey! W-Wait for me!" Lillie called after her.

At the mansion, Kylani started looking around. "Oh, wow... I forgot how nice this place was..." Lillie kept walking. Kylani could tell from the worried look on her face that she wanted to check on her brother, and she followed. Kylani got a bit distracted, so she was startled when Lillie gasped. She spun around to see Pika and Gladion outside. Pika had a good grip on Gladion's arm and he seemed to be trying to walk, but kept stumbling. "Hey, hey, take it easy. You're still pretty weak." Pika said gently. He looked at her, smiled, and nodded. Kylani dashed towards them. "Hey! Pika! Gladion!" she called. However, she caught both of them off guard, and Pika lost her grip on Gladion's arm. He started falling, but Pika quickly wrapped her arms around him and caught him. Both of them started trying to catch their breath. "I'm sorry!" Kylani cried. Lillie dashed up to her brother. "A-Are you okay?" He nodded in response. Kylani noticed that while he was sweating and his face was red, his eyes were clear. "Gladion, you're definitely doing better than you were yesterday..." Lillie said, smiling from ear to ear. "I decided to give him some fresh air and sunshine." Pika said. "I thought it couldn't hurt." "I'm glad you two didn't get hurt. Maybe I should've looked before I shouted..." Kylani said, a bit embarrassed. Gladion squinted at her and looked confused. "...Who...?" he asked. "Uh... it's me, Gladion. Kylani." "Don't you recognize her?" Lillie asked worriedly. "...No..." "Uh, don't worry about it...?" Pika said, looking a bit baffled. "How can he not remember me?! That's crazy! I've been hanging around with Pika, like, forever!" Kylani exclaimed in shock. Suddenly, Pika glared at her. "Look, I don't think he can remember his own freaking mother yet! He needs time! Don't push him!" she snapped. Kylani and Lillie flinched. Gladion squirmed. "Whoa, Pika..." Kylani muttered. "W-What's... what's wrong, Pika...?" Lillie asked nervously. Pika sighed. "Sorry. I guess I'm a bit stressed... didn't sleep last night. Stayed up all night worrying." "Yikes..." Kylani said. Gladion looked upset. "...It's my fault..." he said. "...If... if I hadn't gotten hurt... this wouldn't be happening..." "Don't blame yourself, Gladion... you getting hurt was an accident." "...I know... but... I feel like a burden..." "You're not a burden! You're sick and need to recover, that's all." Pika said. "Pika's right, Gladion." Lillie said. "You're not a burden." Lillie said, and hugged him. Pika did as well. Gladion looked both of them, and smiled faintly. "Wow..." Kylani muttered. Both of the girls were being very gentle, which was strange for Pika, who normally wasn't that caring, but she was acting like she was Gladion's second little sister or something. "I'm glad you're doing well, Gladion. I just never thought that Pika would be taking care of you..." Kylani said as Pika smiled. Then she suddenly remembered N. "Ahh! I totally forgot about N! Bye-bye! Get well soon!" she said, dashing off hurriedly. Pika, Lillie, and Gladion stared at her as she ran, looking very confused.
