Meta-PokéBase Q&A

Wall for Syl ™ (page 84)

Nah, it would be something a lot simpler than that. Perhaps he just forgets to hide the questions once he’s posted them?
Regarding the deleted question, I know there’s a button in the admin that deletes every hidden post without dependent posts on it (i.e. it won’t delete a question that has answers on it that aren’t also hidden). I know he presses it periodically, as some old question links lead to an error instead of a hidden post for me. It’s possible the question was deleted the last time he clicked it, I guess? The only other explanation is he removed it manually, which would be strange.

Weird! It all checks out on my end too, as I can’t find the question in the admin lists either. This isn’t something that happens normally — the only explanation is that it was deleted, which would have to have been Pokemaster’s doing.
Adds some more mystery to the stuff he’s been posting here of late, huh...?

Just a domestic cat, right? Worry no longer!
This is pretty much all you'll ever need to know:

Or, for a somewhat simpler tutorial:

Probably. These hackers must really be interested in your family. Just don't respond to their messages (block them if necessary).

"Just think how many times you have used your phone number (not you in general :P) for security purposes with Facebook, Google, Youtube, etc. Your number is in the public domain and scammers and spammers have it without doubt (if they know how to get it through hacking. But this usually shouldn't happen since most of these places are secure, but it can).

As with multiple email addresses it is now a good time to think about having multiple phone numbers and keeping your personal number private at all times."

These hackers could also try to use fear (your fear) into tricking you to give them what they want. Never let that happen. Take care! Also, do you back up your PC regularly? It's good to do that just in case a virus kills your computer  and it's files or your computer crashes (you'll still have your files backed up to restore on the same computer after you clean it from the virus, if that's possible).

I'm probably gonna take a 'lil break? I might come on for just like 1 minute and then I'm done for a whole day.

Prize scammers try to get your money or personal information through fake lotteries, sweepstakes, or other contests. Many claim that you’ve won a prize but must pay a fee to collect it. Others require you to provide personal information to enter a “contest.” These scams may reach you by postal mail, email, phone call, robocall, or text message.

Don't answer it. It is probably a scam.
