Can you have a critical capture with a master ball?

Are the chanses the same with a poke ball,or is it impossible?

save then soft reset to use the masterball multiple times and then if it works you can soft reset and still have the masterball

I tested.
(Gave myself Masterballs with PokeGen, 2nd throw was critical)
