Shiny overworld sprites?

If I was playing platinum & I went to find drifloon on Friday & it was shiny, would the sprite that I would walk up to at the windworks be shiny before I press A & start the fight?

The programmers did not bother to change the sprites in the overworld, so no. Basically, a shiny Pokemon can be encountered by a random number generator based on the odds of meeting a shiny Pokemon. Essentially, you can only see a shiny Pokemon in battle or if the overworld sprite was intended to always be shiny. Hope that clarifies things.
