Like, in the Indigo Disk DLC in the Polar Biome, you can find Hisuian Qwilfish in the water (he isn't a Water Type), and since he is in the water, the Dive Ball gets the 3.5x catch rate modifier on him. What other examples of that are present in the games?

The answer would require searching through every possible encounter in the water, then filtering which Pokemon are not Water-types.
Tynamo is the only one I know from the top of my head
This is one of those "who cares?" questions, I think. It doesn't really provide any information, nobody's going specifically go and try to catch non-water type Pokemon with a Dive Ball only when it's effective. If somebody really wants a Pokemon that's not water type in a Dive Ball, they can just look for locations that it's available in and see if it can be caught in the water. The answer wouldn't provide any usable or useful information.
I think we can leave this open for at least one week.
I would like you to understand HOW dive ball works in gen 9.

The Dive ball is not for WATER TYPES it is for in-water (swimming) ENCOUNTERS. A Pokemon **in** the water is affected by the 3.5x catch modifier. This does not count for Pokemon flying above the water or glitching into the water. (Tropius is glitched so it is the only exception)

The only unknown tech is that if the Pokemon that can swim and walk (psyduck) either leaves or enters water is affected

Summary: Any Pokemon that swims and spawns in the bodies of water in gen 9 has a 3.5x catch mod regardless of type.

I can not provide a list of all of them but I will give examples.

Kilowattrel - It will fly over water so it is NOT a water encounter. no mod

Hisuain Quilfish - Is found in the water and swims in it. 3.5x Mod

Wiglet - Is water but is not found IN WATER. No mod.

I hope this helps. TBH I like these questions just because they are fun but others may not. To be safe always try Bulbapedia to answer it. I just searched for the item and the nerds already gave me all I need.

I don't think there is a confusion about how Dive Ball works. The question wants a list of mons it works on that aren't Water-type.
@Vileplume Do you want this question back on the unanswered list?
@sumwun Yes. The Fizz comment pretty much explains exactly why.
Well, I’m no expert, but I know Hisuian Qwilfish and Overqwil are both found in water, and neither are water types. Also, I’m pretty sure that the dive ball only gets the catch multiplier if the Pokémon in caught while fishing, diving, or just riding on water, so if you’re catching water types, I would recommend the net ball over the dive ball.
If you aren't sure or aren't giving a compete an answer, you should post it as a comment and not an answer.
The question isn't asking for which ball is effective for catching water types, it's asking for a list of non-water types the dive ball works on.
The dive ball WORKS on all pokemon just is boosted on one in the water.
I meant about the Pokémon that get the Dive Ball modifier, I better edit the question for clarity just in case.
