Is it normal to get different messages for some Pokemon during battles in X/Y?

So when I did Pokemon-Amie to evolve my Eevee into a Sylveon it worked but... soon messages started appearing that are a lot different then what it normally says. Like when I battle with my level 59 Greninja I named Drake, a message appears instead of the usual "Go!!! Drake!!!". It says some different things but one of them is, "Drake is awaiting Red Alerts (my name for myself on my game) directions." It's weird and I know my Pokemon shudder at time. I know another says that sometimes my Pokemon are exited for the battles or uneasy. I remember one for my Sylveon, Hope, that said that she was curious about my bag. Is this normal or no?

That means your Pokemon has max friendship with you I'm pretty sure. Very normal

This is normal; this is from high Affection in Pokémon-Amie. It displays because your Pokémon like you! :)
This is separate from the Friendship stat, and is only increased by Pokémon-Amie. There are other benefits in battle for high Affection, too!
