Can you trade using the Quick Link with Sun and Ultra Moon?

So, the internet connection will be gone soon. Quick Link is local, so it'll still work.I'm planning to get another 2DS an a copy of Ultra Moon. Will I be able to trade from Sun, which I already have, to Ultra Moon using the Quick Link?

I don't know, it wasn't meant to be. I want to battle using it too, and I didn't know if I could trade from Sun to Ultra Moon.

Yes, as long as the Pokemon and items exist in both games, (e.g, Stakataka, Blacephalon, etc.)

Yes. Local connections have historically worked in all other games with internet capabilities shut down (Gens IV and V), and because they don't have to use the internet to connect with another system, you'll be more than okay.
