I slathered Honey on a tree, how long do I need to wait for? Just so you know, my clock is normal.

A wild Pokemon will typically appear on the tree 6 hours after the Honey is slathered (though it isn't guaranteed). If you ignore the tree for 24 hours, both the Pokemon and the Honey will be gone.
