I like the Mudsdale line a lot, I am playing Shield & Violet and can get a Mudbray in those games. I also play Showdown. Is Mudsdale a good choice for any of those games? If not, what are good choices?(Btw I have to replace my ninjask in shield and whiscash in scarlet, so I need an answer for both games. A competitive horse is an option)

What format in Showdown?
If I remember correctly, Mudsdale was very good in RU.
RU being rarely used?
Mudsdale was good in NU (Never Used) in Gen 8 as a physically defensive check to physical wallbreakers such as Tyrantrum, Stakataka, and Drapion. And yes, RU is Rarely Used.
Mudsdale is currently RU in gen 9, but there's a pretty good chance that it'll change tiers in the next 2 months.
Is this for in-game or for competitive? The OP says in-game, but it's tagged as pokemon showdown related.
read the post, it's both
btw I need movesets

For in-game use something like this:
Mudsdale
Ability: Stamina
- Earthquake
- Body Press
- Iron Head
- Body Slam ( S / V Tera Blast if you have unique tera)

Use the super effective move. Simple.

Competitively, here’s a Smogon set:

Mudsdale @ Leftovers
Ability: Stamina
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Tera Type: Steel / Water / Ghost
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Body Press / Stone Edge.
- Roar / Protect

Leftovers for recovery. Stealth Rock is a hazard. Earthquake is STAB. Body Press is to take advantage of Stamina, or Stone Edge to cover for flying types. Roar allows you to toss your opponents across the rocks. Protect is to scout and give more time for Leftover recovery. Tera’s are all defensive. Steel is a great defensive type. Water gives only two weaknesses, making it harder to break through Stamina. Ghost spin blocks. Use whichever one you need. Hope this helped!

My most favorite roaring horse
This might work in doubles as well
