Are any of the three split evolutions "better" than each form? Are they all equal? Just wondering if Own Tempo is extra worth grinding for, or if I can settle for Midnight/Mid Day form

What game are you asking about? What do you want to do with a Lycanroc? Do you want to battle other people, in-game trainers, or something else?
No guard stone edge from midnight>
What do you mean "grinding for" when your tag is Ultra Sun & Moon? You either have Own Tempo Rockruff or you don't, and then you just evolve at a different time of day?
Searching for rockruff until I get one with Own Tempo
That's what I mean by "grinding"
You can't find Own Tempo Rockruff in the wild, as it was event-exclusive, at least in Gen 7. So if you missed the event, you'll have to trade with someone who has one. Depending on your situation, that can make it pretty hard to obtain.

If you decide you want one, though, I could trade you one.
Oh my goodness I totally forgot that. I have spent years "grinding" to get an own tempo rockruff because you can get them now. I feel so dumb now *facepalm*

It depends. Do you want a somewhat "bulky" sweeper with access to a great combo of No Guard Stone Edge? Then choose Midnight. If you want a fast Physical sweeper, then choose Dusk or Mid Day.

However, since you actually can't find Own Tempo Rockruff in the wild, I would settle in for Mid Day, as you want a fast sweeper in-game. Midnight Lycanroc isn't even that bulky.
No Guard is also the hidden ability of Midnight Lycanroc, meaning you have to hunt for a Hidden Ability Rockruff.
