If you're playing competitive, the best thing to do in either case is breed a Pokemon with a nature you actually want.
Natures multiply stats, which means that a Pokemon with higher physical defense will be more affected by a defense lowering nature. So a level 100 Chansey with perfect IVs needs 24 EVs to cancel out the stat loss, while a Shuckle would need 224 EVs. You can use https://calc.pokemonshowdown.com/?gen=8 to calculate stats.
SwSh also has mints, which will work better than whatever you're trying to do.
It would be easier just to buy a mint in the Battle Tower than to try to combat the bad nature your Pokemon has
Ok thanks
sumwun I wish you would've typed that in the answer spot. Lol. That's definitely the best answer and helps alot
