What types in Gen III are Physical and which are Special?

Question

I read somewhere that all fire type moves are special, what are all the type stats like fire = special?

Answer 1

Special: Fire, Water, Electric, Grass, Ice, Psychic, Dragon, Dark.

Physical: Normal, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Flying, Bug, Rock, Ghost, Steel.

An easy way to remember them is that there is an Eeveelution for every special type except Dragon.

It seems ilogical to have dragon dark & a bunch of other types where they are but ok. Thanks (especially the eeveelution thing). I need abit of work on my emerald pokemon...

Honestly it really doesn't make sense as to why dark was categorized as special, all of dark moves available in gen 3 all seem physical.

itwastai, that's because dark is seen as a more magical type, has more to do with mental stuffs rather than actual physical stuff, things like fighting dirty, physical does not mean contact all the time-
