I looked on this site and I can’t find Roost for Charizard. Yet for Smogon in SwSh OU Charizard does have it? Seriously I just want Roost on my Charizard. Is it an event move? Is it an egg move? I just want some help ASAP! Thank you!

According to this, Roost is a transfer-only move on Charizard. To do so, you must teach Charizard Roost from a previous gen and then transfer it to Sw/Sh. However, this does not appear to be a problem on BDSP since Roost is a TM in that game.

This doesn't work. When transferring between Gen 8 games, movesets will reset to what they would have been by level up for that game specifically. For example, if you took a Charizard with Roost as a TM in BDSP, it's moveset would become the four newest level-up moves it is able to learn until transfering back to BDSP. The only way this would work to my knowledge is if you transfer from an earlier gen game where Charizard had roost, such as Sun and Moon, however I don't know if that still works.

I actually put previous gen in but they edited that out for whatever reason. I'll put that back in
