I know they're not available to catch, but is there data for them in the code?

by
**No.** However *items* from Alola such as Z-Crystals are coded in.

Source: Experience
How exactly does experience tell you what unused features are coded in something? Did you read the code by yourself?
Did you datamine the game?
As from what I know, Alolan and Galarian forms are not in the game. Due to potential transferring from LA to BDSP, Hisuian forms might become available.
Hisuian forms will not be in BDSP, Legends Arceus came out after bdsp
Just because BDSP came out before Legends Arceus doesn't mean that the Hisuian forms won't be added. There was a symbol found in BDSP that shows up on a Pokemon if it originated in Hisui which means the new forms could potentially be added
Oh boy... This escalated a bit...

When I said experience, I meant that I "knew" the answer from personal research (prior to the question's creation).

When SWSH released, I learned online that GAME FREAK leaves unsused assets in the most of the games. Which lead me to believe BDSP was no different. Then after some... "digging", I found that I was correct and BDSP did indeed have all of the unsused items, but no galarian or alolan forms (or any alola/galar pokemon at all). I never datamined or looked through the code, I simply looked through it's item/pokemon indexs with a save editor. :P

Sorry for the 3 month late response, I didn't expect a need to elaborate.
Show me your evidence then

it should display an option to change it from normal to alola, but it doesn't. Therefore confirming Alolan forms (currently) aren't coded into the game. Same thing happens when trying to make galarian forms.
Ok you can answer with that

No. (simple answer, keep reading for details)

However, items from Alola and Galar such as Z-Crystals or Dynamax Band (also Mega Stones) are coded in. (top image is Mega Stones, middle image is Z-Crystals, bottom image is galar items)

I'm guessing these unused items are leftover from some kind of base game they start with to make newer games from (to make coding easier/faster). I doubt they're intended for a future update.

Also, sorry for the huge images. I tried to shrink them, but since they're so pixelated it only made them impossible to read. :P
