Do recoil moves take recoil if they are used on immune pokemon

for example. Pikachu using Volt-Tackle on Torterra. Would that have Recoil?

The move won't work, and won't cause recoil, because recoil is based on the damage done, and because no damage was done to the opponent, no recoil will be for your pokemon.

Hi jump kick and Jump kick are crash recoil, a different category. But you are correct for pointing that out.
