Gen 8 LC

Anorith @ Life Orb
Ability: Battle Armor
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 SpD / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rock Slide
- X-Scissor
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance

Description
Anorith is typically outclassed by Dwebble, but it has its uses if you need more immediate firepower. Rather than compete with Dwebble's ability to set rocks, this set aims to use Anorith's offensive capabilities. Bear in mind that this is not a Pokemon you'll want in many serious matches.

Rock Blast is Anorith's most consistent Rock STAB and its best way of breaking the tier's Fire types. X-Scissor muscles through the Psychic types (Abra, Slowpoke, etc) and deals massive damage to Grookey. Knock Off is Anorith's most spammable option, hitting Frillish super effectively and breaking down Pokemon reliant on their items. Swords Dance may be difficult to position, but doing so will give Anorith even more opportunities to break past ultra-defensive Pokemon. It will need teammates that can remove Mienfoo from the field.

Other options
- Brick Break is a neat tech option for Pawniard and Ferroseed, but it's very difficult to slot in over one of your other four moves.
- Rock Blast may be used instead of Rock Slide to get a jump on Focus Sash Abra, but it has few uses outside of this.
- Replacing X-Scissor with Rapid Spin makes Anorith a utility Pokemon that has a harder time getting through Carvanha. You will want to swap the Life Orb with Eviolite if you go this route.
- Hone Claws is inferior to Swords Dance but makes your Rock STAB more reliable.
- Aerial Ace lets Anorith hit otherwise-checks like Mienfoo and Timburr, but it lacks power and isn't easy to make room for.
- Aqua Jet outspeeds Diglett but doesn't do much else for you.

Anorith is a great Pokemon for LC, and I really enjoy using it! Here's the set that I use!

Anorith @ Life Orb
Ability: Battle Armor
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Hone Claws / Swords Dance
- X-Scissor
- Rock Tomb

The HP EVs let's is live a couple hits extra, so it can do its thing. Speed and Attack investments mean that it outspeeds a lot of things, but being the slow little claw bug we all know and love, Aqua Jet really helps, especially for coverage too. Swords Dance doubles Attack, and while Hone Claws raises it a bit less, it makes Rock Tomb a bit more accurate, so it's really your choice! X-Scissor and Rock Tomb are strong STAB moves. The Life Orb also makes this thing so so strong, really love this lil' guy :)
Also, Pokemon such as Archen, Contrary Superpower Inkay, and Focus Sash Abra are a little bit easier to deal with now!

Hope this set helps someone!

" The Old Shrimp Pokemon " LMAO.

Gen 8 LC

Anorith Is Outclassed, by Mienfoo, And you know why, But this Pokemon has some Nice Utility.
Anorith @ Eviolite
Ability: Battle Armor
Level: 5
EVs: 196 Def / 36 SpD / 236 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rock
- X-Scissor
- Rapid Spin

Even If Anorith doesn't have any Attacking Stats at all, It Is still an Amazing 17 Attack stat by the Help of Adamant.

Battle Armor: To not get crits from a Pawniard Knock Off.
Swift Swim: Useless.

  • Knock Off Is to Remove Eviolites which Is EVERYWHERE In LC.
  • Stealth Rock Is For Focus Sash Removal / To Cripple Some Larvestas. (Heavy Duty Boots lmaoaoaoaoaoaoao)
  • X-Scissor Is stab, Which Is a Grookey Removal.
  • Rapid Spin Is for Pawniard Setting up Stealth Rock.
