PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

I want to make a Grassy Terrain team because I like the concept, and I think it could be fun. Which Pokemon are good on such a team? Obviously Grookey is the Terrain setter, so which Pokemon would work well with Grookey? If possible, I would like suggestions for physical attackers, special attackers, hazard setters, backup Terrain setters (I am aware Grookey is far and away the best, but I may need a backup just in case), walls/tanks, and hazard clearers.

Thanks in advance.

A great tank would be Skiddo, with access to Grass Pelt. Cottonee would make an awesome terrain setter with Terrain Extender + Prankster.
Skiddo isn't legal in Gen 8 LC, but thanks for the Cottonee suggestion.
Oh it isn't? oops lol
I find that Grassy Seed Unburden does well with Grookey. I personally use Simple Grassy Seed Woobat that has the move Stored Power and Calm Mind. Maybe have a fire move absorber, like Flash Fire Sizzlipede? I guess Terrain Pulse Clauncher, but then again, you're probably using other Grass Type Pokemon.
Swoobat isn't a LC Pokemon do you mean Woobat
you can also use amaura with nature power as it turns into energy ball in grassy terrain
Oops. I meant Woobat.

Grookey @ Focus Sash
Ability: Grassy Surge
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grassy Glide
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance

This one is very simple, you start by setting up a Swords Dance or 2 and a focus sash will almost guarantee that you'll set up atleast one Swords Dance.

Cottonee @ Terrain Extender
Ability: Prankster
Level: 5
EVs: 196 HP / 116 Def / 196 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Toxic
- Grassy Terrain
- Encore

This is the best non-offensive grassy terrain setter.

Clauncher @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mega Launcher
Level: 5
EVs: 36 HP / 212 SpA / 244 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Aura Sphere
- Water Pulse
- Terrain Pulse

I got a little creative with this one and I don't think it needs explanation.

Treecko @ Grassy Seed
Ability: Unburden
Level: 5
EVs: 36 HP / 200 Atk / 236 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Grassy Glide
- Drain Punch

I know treecko is supposed to be a special attacker, but it's special movepool is just sad. Besides, it gets Swords Dance! You'll have to switch in when grassy terrain is active so that grassy seed would activate which would double treeckos speed.

Gossifleur @ Eviolite
Ability: Effect Spore
Level: 5
EVs: 196 HP / 196 Atk / 36 Def / 36 SpD / 36 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Rapid Spin
- Synthesis
- Grassy Terrain

Yet another Pokémon with an atrocious movepool, this is your grassy terrain setter and rapid spinner.

Snover @ Eviolite
Ability: Soundproof
Level: 5
EVs: 196 HP / 224 Atk / 36 Def
Adamant Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Ice Shard
- Double-Edge
- Swords Dance

Snover relies mostly on priority moves except when there is a Pokémon that resists both ice and grass.

Final thoughts: I know this tram is almost mono grass but in an lc grassy terrain team, you almost have no Pokémon that properly benifit from grassy terrain that aren't grass types aside from Clauncher.
