How come I keep getting the same couple Pokemon in Max Raid Battles?

Question

So I just recently got Pokemon sword, (been debating on buy it for a year and finally did).

I beat the game and have been going around doing max raid battles however online I see all sorts of Pokemon like, Ditto, Charizard, Lampras and Mimikyu. However I always get the same Pokemon?

It's always an onix or steelix or nickit, Dottler, Xatu, Manatee. Is there something I am missing? How do I get new Pokemon or just a different variety.

I clear out all the raids in every area and they reset but its just all the same Pokemon over and over. I frequently check the wild area news almost 3 times a day.

Any information on what is happening is much appreciated!

From what I know of, the other Pokemon you mentioned are somewhat rare. Meanwhile, the Pokemon you said you encounter are much easier to find. Also, certain dens have certain Pokemon more than normal. For example, you are more likely to encounter a charizard in the top right den of the wild area, the one surrounded by stone. My guess would be that the dens you check are less likely to have them or maybe you are and you are just getting unlucky. It is true that lapras and ditto and charizard are rare but events make a few Pokémon common, like the current event that has mostly pyukumukus and sharpedos. The person is probably partly getting the encounters because of events and partly because they are more common
