Is the Pokèwalker compatible with the 3DS?

I’m about to buy Pokémon HeartGold, and I’m wondering if I should buy a Pokéwalker. I remember it being really popular, but my concern is that I won’t be able to use it, as I am playing on a 3DS and not a DS. Can the 3DS sync wirelessly via the game cartridge, or does it lack the software to do so?

Yes, the Pokéwalker does work with the 3DS, as it uses the cartridge, not the DS itself.
