Is there any advantage to using regular poison over bad poison?

Or is stuff like Toxic always better?

Does Poison Heal work with Toxic poison, or just regular poison?  That's my only thought.

Are you battling other people, the Battle Tree, or in-game trainers? In 6v6 singles, sometimes you only get one turn to use toxic spikes, so you can only get regular poison.

Regular poison's damage is generally equivalent to turn 2 of Toxic, so if the opponent is only staying in for one or two turns at a time, they end up taking more damage if it's regular poison.

And, as a result, Toxic works great to keep Pokemon who would wall you out of battle for considerable periods.
