- Coil (stat boost plus defense boost)
- Fire Lash (stab and defense drop)
- Leech Life (heath regeneration and stab)
- Knock Off (a nice tricky move)

Leech Life is good but the Big Root makes it gain more so why Leftovers?

Because than you can only use leech life to heal rather than healing every turn. And big root may or may not heal more. Leftovers is much more consistent in general

Fire Lash lowers Defense and is STAB. Leech Life restores HP and with the Big Root it makes more. Power Whip covers up Water and Rock. Knock Off is more powerful if the target is holding a held item which powers up 65 to 97.5 BP.

I was torn between Crunch and Knock Off; both offer coverage and have their uses, but I feel that a combo of Thunder Fang/Scald would provide more coverage with the full set of skills. Thoughts?

Comments

Scald simply won't be doing enough damage with it's relatively low Sp. Atk, even it is super effective. I'd go Power Whip to make use of it's high Attack, and covers ground, rock and water.

Use with a cherim that knows sunny day. Fire lash's power will be doubled by sunny day + flower gift. Leech life's power will be boosted by 50% and it will heal centiskorch. Coil is to boost it's low defense. Power whip is coverage.

Explanation:

Fire Lash can lower target's Defense, as well as STAB. Coil can boost Attack, Defense and Accuracy at the same time. This can help you tank hits. Power Whip is Rock, Water and Ground coverage, all three weaknesses at once. Lunge is bug STAB as well as lower attack. Flame Body is nice to be used to cripple physical sweepers. Watch out for entry hazards, specially Stealth Rock. It is highly recommended to bring an Entry Hazard remover.
