Revenge Killer and Pivoting Disruptor

Gen 9 OU
Raging Bolt @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Thunderclap
- Draco Meteor
- Volt Switch
- Dragon Tail / Thunder Wave / Solar Beam

This set takes advantage of Raging Bolt’s bulk and great Special Attack. Leftovers increase Raging Bolt’s longevity. Raging Bolt has a great signature move in Thunderclap, being an Electric type Sucker Punch. This is especially useful in revenge killing Scarf Contrary Enamorus, something Kingambit struggles to do. Draco Meteor to nuke something. This works well with Volt Switch, allowing Raging Bolt to pivot out and remove Draco Meteor’s stat drop. Dragon Tail can prevent setup, while Thunder Wave cripples faster threats. Solar Beam can be used in Sun Teams as coverage. Tera Flying is useful in avoiding a Headlong Rush from Great Tusk. Raging Bolt then has a chance to OHKO even defensive forms back with Draco Meteor.

Gen 9 National Dex Specially Bulky Attacker

Raging Bolt @ Assault Vest
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 124 HP / 252 SpA / 132 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 20 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Thunderclap
- Draco Meteor

The main star of this set is Volt Switch, a seeminly undervalued move in Bolt's kit. When coupled with an Electric overload teammate like Tapu Koko or a Ground-type destroyer like Weavile, Volt Switch becomes nigh unblockable and becomes a safe move for Bolt to click without needing to make unnecessary predicts. It also helps Bolt's to reposition after it grabs a KO with Volt Switch. Assault Vest helps Bolt live seemingly impossible hits like Scarf Lele's Moonblast, Charizard Y's Scorching Sands, and Iron Crown's hits. Due to the overall abundance of physical attackers compared to special attackers, 124 HP is used instead of 124 SpDef to still maintain some bulk on the physical side. 132 Speed outspeeds defensive Landorus-T, allowing Bolt to smack it with a Draco Meteor. Tera Flying is used over Tera Fairy due to the sheer power of Draco Meteor and it's ability to pick up surprise KOs against Pokemon like Great Tusk, allowing something like Tapu Koko to Thunderbolt with greater ease.

Assault Vest Raging Bolt fits on teams that struggle with special attackers, the most prominent of which being Charizard Y and Tapu Lele. Thus, teammates like Rillaboom and Tapu Koko are great partners for Raging Bolt, as Rillaboom hates Zard and both enjoy their terrains being set up uncontested. Charizard Y is also a great partner with Raging Bolt not only due to the obvious Sun-Protosynthesis synergy, but also Charizard Y having to run every time ScarfLele switches in. As mentioned previously, Pokemon that threaten Ground types are appreciated, notably Ogerpon (any form) and Weavile. Both are also physical attackers, helping Raging Bolt against more traditional special walls like Blissey and Clodsire.

Gen 9 Monotype Calm Mind (Dragon/Electric)

Raging Bolt @ Leftovers / Magnet / Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 32 HP / 252 SpA / 224 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 20 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Thunderclap
- Dragon Pulse / Draco Meteor
- Thunderbolt

A Calm Mind set Raging Bolt can use in Gen 9 Monotype. Calm Mind boosts lets Raging Bolt boost its already good Special Attack as well as its Special Defense, making it a potent wincon. Thunderclap is used as an Electric STAB that works like Sucker Punch, which is useful to use against faster offensive Pokemon. Dragon Pulse is used for a consistent Dragon STAB that doesn't have any drawbacks, making it useful to hit most Pokemon who are immune or resists Electric moves. Draco Meteor can be used instead for a powerful Dragon STAB if you don't mind the -2 Special Attack drop. Thunderbolt is used for a powerful Electric STAB that is useful since Thunderclap is an Electric version of Sucker Punch, so Raging Bolt wants to also have a stronger Electric STAB that doesn't rely on the opposing Pokemon needing to use an attacking move. Leftovers is used to give Raging Bolt some HP recovery. Magnet can be used to give Raging Bolt's Electric STABs since Raging Bolt is going to find itself using its Electric moves more often than its Dragon move. Heavy-Duty Boots is an option on Dragon teams should you not have a form of hazard removal on Dragon teams.

252 Special Attack EVs with Modest Nature are used to make Raging Bolt's attacks as powerful as possible. 224 Speed EVs allow Raging Bolt to outspeed common Gliscor sets, as the common Gliscor sets in Monotype don't go over the speed of 241. The 32 HP EVs are leftover EVs. If you want to have some more bulk, an EV spread of 124 HP / 252 SpA / 132 Spe can work, giving Raging Bolt enough speed to outspeed Pokemon such Jolly Kingambit and Jolly Azumarill.

VGC Reg F

Raging Bolt @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Level: 50
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 244 HP / 252 SpA / 12 SpD
Modest Nature
- Protect
- Discharge / Electroweb
- Thunderclap
- Dragon Pulse

Booster Energy allows, Raging bolt to increase its special attack upon switch-in, allowing it to sweep. EVs in Hp and SpD allow give it some bulk and EVs in SpA makes it even stronger on the offensive side of things. Discharge allows it to hit both opposing Pokémon meanwhile electroweb does the same and lowers their speed, at the cost of 25 Bp. Thunderclap is priority, which is useful for mons that are faster than bolt. Dragon pulse is STAB

Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 244 HP / 252 SpA / 12 SpD

Just so you know, not using Tera on a Pokemon means Tera Blast is still a Normal move (or Fake Scald as I call it due to its animation on Pokemon Showdown). Just because you set the Tera Type to something like Steel doesn't mean Tera Blast will immediately be a Steel Type. Tera Blast will still remain a Normal move until you use Tera. Just wanted to let you know if you didn't know about the Tera and Tera Blast interaction.
