Actually, I’ve been told that you need game boy advance link cables to do this. The normal cables won’t work either. You need what is known as a universal cable. This cable has 2 plugs on each end for both gbc and gba. This also means that you can connect a gbc to a gba bout only with gbc games because of the bandwidth.
