Does Eviolite work on male Salandits?

I want to breed for shiny Salandit and I don't want to worry about its gender so would the male get the boost or not?

Regardless of gender, Salandit can still receive the effects of eviolite. *This was tested in Pokemon Showdown and proven to be true.
