If a Pokemon is badly poisoned and isn't healed will the Pokemon be poisoned or badly poisoned in the next battle?

If a badly poisoned Pokémon is switched out, it will remain badly poisoned, but the counter is reset. Bad poison still reverts to regular poison after completing a battle.

If a Pokemon has been badly poisoned, the bad poison will become regular poison. In Gen 1, bad poison also became regular poison when a Pokemon was switched out. This is no longer the case.
