Pokemon White 2 What happens when you lose to Gate Trainer?

Since I lost to Area 7's Gate Trainer it's now harder to find her.
Does this mean I have to start from the beginning in area 7 since I lost to its gate trainer?

Yes, when you lose to any trainer in the Treehollow your progress gets reset on your current area.
