Alolan Persian @ Leftovers
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Play Rough
- U-turn
- Night Slash
- Toxic

Play Rough is for dealing with Fighting-type Pokemon. Also, if a Fighting-type does get to attack, Persian has the ability Fur Coat which reduces damage taken from physical attacks, since most fighting typed moves are physical.
U-Turn is for if you need to switch switch out Persian quickly.
I picked Night Slash for this moveset because it is good for a Pokemon to know at least one of the moves of its type. I didn't pick Dark Pulse because it is not a physical move, and that way it would be easier to put all of Persian's strength in attack rather than splitting up her strength into Attack and Special Attack.
Toxic is for if Persian is battling against a bulky Pokemon.
Leftover's is just a good item to have. It will help restore Persian's HP, while, if she has used Toxic, the other Pokemon is losing it.

Alolan Persian has 3 abilities, which are Fur Coat, Technician, and Rattled, which are pretty good abitities

Persian-Alola @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Snarl
- Parting Shot
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Nasty Plot

This set is the sweeper variant, which is the most common. Snarl is for it's STAB, Hidden Power Ice is for coverage, Parting Shot is to cripple the opponent and pressures a switch, and also allows you to switch as well. Nasty Plot changes Persians normally mediocre special attack stats into a powerful threat.
I hope I helped!! :D

Garfield Cat Set-up Sweeper/Wall

Persian-Alola @ Leftovers
Ability: Fur Coat / Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Modest / Calm Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Snarl
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Thunderbolt / Parting Shot

Let's take a look at this set. I mean, Persian isn't a really viable PU mon but this moveset is still here. EV Spread, The EV Spread is for having a Persian that Hits Hard and takes Hits well. The nature depends on what Persian you want, Bold for Tanky, Modest for Sweeper. The abilities work same as the Natures. Fur coat for Tanky, Technician for Sweeper. Leftovers are for recovery. This fat cat can't take hits well. Nasty Plot is for Massive Sp. Atk. Snarl for Technician Boost STAB attack. HP Flying is Technician Boost Coverage, T-Bolt for Powerful move or, if your opponent threatens you with a Devastating move, use Parting Shot. I recommend Parting Shot.

I'm open to suggestions.
Why not a more offensive item than leftovers since its an attacking set

Persian-Alola @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse / Snarl
- Power Gem / Thunderbolt
- Water Pulse / HP Fire

Nasty Plot boosts Special Attack, Dark Pulse or Snarl would be your Main Dark STAB depending on your preference on Secondary Effects. Power Gem hits Bug, Fire, Flying and Ice types super effectively, while Thunderbolt hits Water and Flying Pokemon super Effectively. Water Pulse hits Ground, Fire and Rock types super effectively. HP Fire hits Steel and Grass types super effectively.

Persian-Alola @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Rattled
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Assist / Play Rough
- Fake Out
- Night Slash
- Parting shot

A-Persian, in this set, is used as a you turn sweeper. Taking a hit from you turn will activate both it's item and ability allowing it's already good speed to jump up and be ready to attack with double power. Fake out is for chip. Night slash is STAB plus crit is good. Assist is for if you want to take a power Trip Pokemon with you, but if not use play rough for fighting types. Parting shot for pivot.

Z-Hypnosis Sweeper

Persian-Alola @ Psychium Z
Ability: Technician / Fur Coat
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hypnosis
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fighting] / Thunderbolt

With access to hypnosis, nasty plot, and technician, Alolan Persian can be a pretty good Z-Hypnosis sweeper thanks to its good speed stat and acceptable special attack stat. This set is somewhat unreliable since it is possible for hypnosis to miss, but if it ends up hitting, then a sweep can be possible. While the opponent is asleep, get some nasty plot boosts, and then start sweeping. Dark Pulse is probably Alolan Persian's best special STAB move. HP Fighting gets a sweet technician boost, making it a 90 base power move that prevents it from being walled by other dark types. Thunderbolt is also an option, but run fur coat instead of technician if you're using it.

Gen 8 PU
Persian
Persian-Alola @ Leftovers / Heavy Duty Boots
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Foul Play
- Taunt
- Toxic
- Parting Shot

Foul Play is STAB and useful for dealing with Pokémon that have a high attack stat. Taunt is to stop Pokémon from using moves like stat boosting moves and moves like Stealth Rock. Toxic to wear down the opponent. Parting Shot is for pivoting. You could run Leftovers for the item for Persian to get a little HP recovery each turn, or you could run Heavy Duty Boots to be able to switch in to hazards without worrying about them

Persian-Alola @ Flame Orb
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Ability: Fur Coat
Timid Nature
- Snarl
- Switcheroo
- Parting Shot
- Taunt

This set for Alolan Persian is meant for crippling attackers. Fur Coat provides physical bulk. Use Switcheroo on a physical attacker to burn and weaken physical damage. If you're faced with a special attacker, Snarl will lower their special attack. If you think the foe will set up, using Taunt will mess up their strategy. Parting Shot will lower their Atk and SpA and you can switch into something that can deal with the foe with ease.

Persian-Alola @ Leftovers
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse
- Power Gem/U-turn
- Shadow Ball

Nasty Post is a good setup. Then use dark Pulse fo STAB attack. Power gem/ U-turn is for coverage/switching out and shadow ball is for fighting coverage. I used a special set since Alolan Persian's Special Attack stat is higher.

Gen 8 ZU

Persian-Alola @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

  • Knock Off
  • Foul Play / Toxic
  • Parting Shot
  • Taunt

Knock Off removes items and is STAB (although considering Alolan Persian's low Attack stat it probably won't matter.) Foul Play lets Persian get rid of Swords Dance users, Toxic is residual damage which works well with Knock Off as it removes Heavy-Duty Boots or Leftovers, both of which are really annoying for Toxic users. Parting Shot lets Persian pivot and is a nuisance to offensive teams and a boon for defensive/balance teams. Alolan Persian's 350 Speed stat lets it take advantage of Taunt, which is used for stallbreaking.

I originally posted this in 2017, and was ignorant to the fact that there was a separate thread for Alolan forms. This had a vote on it so I figured someone liked it, so I'm reposting it.

Fur Coat makes for some excellent opportunity to set up a Special attacker and in my opinion, Alolan Persian gets overlooked a lot. Unfortunately for physical variants, the setup is weaker. But I've thought of a gimmick set that might work for a physical one, though not the most popular.

Let's start with the more useful one.

Special

Bae (Persian-Alola) @ Darkinium Z
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt
- Dark Pulse
- Power Gem

When Gen 7 was new, I got away with running this in OU for a little while. Its movepool isn't great, but with Power Gem being buffed a little from years back, it has a little bit of viability and can cover your Bug problems. As long as your opponent doesn't have major setup or item boosts completed, Fur Coat should help you get a Nasty Plot pulled off. So, the earlier you use it, the better. Dark Pulse makes for decent STAB, and Darkinium for when you need industrial-strength, and Thunderbolt is Water coverage (an abundant type, right?). It's fast, so as long as you're not up against a Scarfed Bug or Fighting special attacker, you'll be fine. Be careful of Focus Blast! (Edit: nowadays in Gen 8 you see Aura Sphere more with the rise of its TR so there's that too)

Physical

Bae (Persian-Alola) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bite
- Gunk Shot
- Aerial Ace
- U-turn

Now this one is much less effective in real competitive, but if you think you're good enough that you can afford to run this trollish set (because it gets Bite lol) then go for it. It doesn't have Fur Coat this time, so not as much you can do here. But it has the potential to do something. Bite is now 135 power thanks to newly-found STAB, and has the flinching power of Iron Head. Gunk Shot is important Fairy coverage, and overall a strong move. Aerial Ace is the same, but actually gets that Technician benefit in addition to being important coverage. U-Turn is an emergency switchout panic button.

Now, if there's nothing more you'll get from this mediocre set, at least know that it gets coverage of its Bug and Fighting weaknesses (though it may not do enough). I recommend the Special one for the more serious player.

Maybe Gunk Shot on the physical set? And maybe Knock Off over Bite or another physical STAB? Maybe Seed Bomb too? Maybe Skitter Smack too?
Sitter Smack didn't exist when I originally posted this, not a terrible idea. Knock Off takes away the whole point of Technician though.

I'm also not certain it got Gunk Shot back then either so that's another thing to consider, ty
Oh yeah I forgot about Technician XD

Gen 9 NU Utility

Persian-Alola @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Fur Coat
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 24 HP / 252 Def / 232 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Foul Play
- Knock Off
- Taunt / Thunder Wave
- Parting Shot

I know there's already a set like this, but I wanted to post one with a different EV spread and one that utilizes Tera. Alolan Persian is currently used in Gen 9 NU as a check to the powerful physical wallbreakers in the tier. Alolan Persian is also quite fast, letting it help use its utility moves. (It's quite a shame that its slower than Salazzle.) Foul Play is awesome in the current NU meta, as it dissuades physical sweepers such as Scyther, Decidueye, Glastrier, and Belly Drum Hariyama from boosting their attack stat if they don't want to take a million damage from Foul Play. Foul Play is also nice against Pokemon with a high attack stat without boosts. Knock Off is a nice Dark STAB that provides utility by removing items from Pokemon who don't like their item being removed. Taunt is nice to stop lead Pokemon such as Lycanroc or Froslass from setting hazards. Taunt is also nice for stallbreaking and prevent setup Pokemon from setting up. Thunder Wave is an option to slow down fast Pokemon. Parting Shot lets Alolan Persian serve as a pivot while lowering the attacking stats of opposing Pokemon. Heavy-Duty Boots is used since this set can pivot out, so taking chip from hazards isn't desirable. Tera Ghost allows Alolan Persian to turn its Fighting weakness into an immunity and lets it resist Bug moves.

232 Speed EVs with a Jolly Nature allow Alolan Persian to outspeed Lycanroc so it can Taunt it to mess up Lead Lycanroc. This set uses Max Defense EVs and uses the remaining EVs in HP and not the other way around. The reason for this is because this Alolan Persian set is meant to take physical hits... It doesn't really want to take special hits. The max Defense EVs with Fur Coat provides more physical bulk than 252 HP / 24 Def EVs, which is useful since Fur Coat makes Alolan Persian bulkier on the physical side.
