Would two parents of a different species but common ability have a higher chance of passing down their ability?

Question

if I wanted a Pokemon with its hidden ability, would I be able to breed the mother with the father who's common ability is the mother's hidden ability?

for example, if I wanted an espurr with its hidden ability (which is own tempo), could I be able to breed a female one with a male spinda (who has own tempo as one of it's common abilities) and have an easier/higher chance of getting an own tempo espurr?

i'm fairly sure that the baby would still have a higher chance of having the mother's ability anyway, but since it can also inherit the father's ability, would it still be easier to get hidden abilities that way?

oh, and I apologize if this has been asked before. I DID check to see if anyone had the same question but I couldnt find anything asking something like this.

The passing down of a hidden ability depends solely on the Mother's ability. So as long as the mother has the hidden ability, and the father is a ditto or other compatible Pokemon, then there is an 80% chance of the hidden ability being passed down.

The father's ability doesn't matter as the mother will have an 80% chance of passing down her ability, regardless of what the father's ability is or if he's a male Pokémon or a Ditto.

Since your Espurr's ability is Own Tempo, there will be an 80% chance of the baby having Own Tempo as its ability.

If neither parent is Ditto, the child's ability is only affected by the mother's ability.
