Is the Gothita line based on the emo stereotype?

I know that emo's are thought to have dark clothing and seem kind of mysterious, stuff like that, and if you compare, the Goths seem to much resemble those types of things.

No, it is based off of the word 'gothic', which means gloomy or dark. Since they are related to the night sky and stars, I think that is fitting.
