Do items that boost the power of a certain type boost a Hidden Power of that type?

For example, would the Black Belt increase the power of HP Fighting, and would a NeverMeltIce increase the power of HP Ice?

Yes, hidden power is a normal in name only.

The Ghost Gem strengthened Hidden Power's power!"

So yes, any type specific attack boosting items affect H-powers Hidden type, and not it's "normal" type.
