Physical Attacker
Charizard-Mega-X @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Dragon Dance
- Drazgon Claw
- Earthquake / Thunder Punch
- Flare Blitz
A premier physical attacker and set up sweeper, Fire/Dragon has a plethora of useful resistances, and while not known for it's bulk, it's still passable. It's speed after a boost flies by most unboosted sweepers, but it's attack just sky-rockets. It can muscle past many walls I nthe tier, killing off Ferrothorn and Chansey with no problems whatsoever. Heatran just because set up fodder if it lacks toxic or roar, since nothing else much can hit it for major damage, though Specs Earth Power will do more then dent it. One of the main reasons it's loved is ecause one of the biggest flaws for a setup sweeper without Sub is that it can be crippled by Status, and while being Paralysed is still an issues, being burn no longer is.
Other mentions include the rare but powerful Bandorus-T, Gyarados and some Venu variants. Bigger threat is probably (M)Scizor and Azu
Special Sweeper
Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump / Surf
- Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse / Hidden Power Fire / U-Turn
- Extrasensory / U-Turn / Spikes
Greninja is called Ninja because it has all the tools it needs to sweep and it's faster than superman on crack. Protean is one of the best abilities in the game, with all the mind games it plays with attacking types, it can theoretically have awesome offensive or defensive synergy on any team. Not only that, but all it's moves get automatic STAB bonuses. It can't break past any walls that aren't weak to it's attacks, but Ferro gets scared of HP Fire, Offensive Clefable doesn't like too many Hydro Pumps (though it can OHKO with Fairy STAB if you mispredicted with Dark Pulse), same with Diance, and obvious stuff like Heatran, Lati@s and Skarmory (though it doesn't mind trying to Roost if yo fat face). It can put pressure on (M)Venu with Extrasensory, but after it Mega-Evolves HP Fire / Ice Beam becomes less effective, and pretty much any of Venu's STABs can OHKO. Spikes can just be there cos no more Deo-A/S/D for Hyper Offensive teams, since Gren can abuse the Ground Typing to predict Volt Switches and the like, as well as maintaining usefulness afterwards.
Mentions include
Hazard Setters / Wall (Phy & Spe)
Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Wish
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss
OmfArceus it's the blob again. This thing got even better in gen 6 thanks to the power creep forcing use to use something far bulkier than what Blissley gave (though that's still an option). Pretty much no special attack can break through this thing. CharY, Mega Venu, Mega Manetric, Landorus, nothing. If you already have a Rock setter, than you can forgo it for Protect, to ToxicStall + Wish Stall, or for Aromatherapy to become a full cleric. However, most of it's bulk only coems from Eviloite, and with al lthe Kncok Off spam these days, that doesn't bode well. Talking of Knock Off, all major Bisharp just adores this thing, SubDance or just Dance variants laughing at it and OHKOing it after a boost. Anything Ghost-type with taunt completely shuts it down and ruins it's life. Taunt users in general do similar stuff.
