Is there any way to get legendaries from events that have already happened?

I need manaphy to complete the whole pokedex so how could I get one?

You can try to trade with somebody that already has a manaphy. Otherwise you can't get it unless you have one in previous generations. Hopefully this answers your question. Hope I helped!(ish)

you could try to find a pokemon ranger game that hasn't sent out a manaphy egg yet.  but the only way to guarantee that is to get a unused copy and those are somewhere around $130 last time i looked
