Type Changer and Item effect?

Question

For example, I have Aurorus with Refrigerate and give it NeverMeltIce to hold. If Take Down or Hyper Beam gain a boosted effect from NeverMeltIce then? or must it a pure ice type move to gain the effect from NeverMeltIce? I'm just wondering thanks

Yes, NeverMeltIce would boost it
