Note:
Before I start I want to let everyone know this IS allowed. I've seen questions like is houndoom worth it? so take them down before this.

Now on to the question. The title is self-explanatory, is Pidgeot worth it? I specifically want to know about in-game in FR/LG because I know there are many other flying types like Charizard. I really want to use him but if you are dead set on another type please tell me. There are a few things to consider, like: I'm picking Bulbasaur ('cuz BWARBASHAUR) and I can't trade between versions(I'm playing LG) and it's in-game.

I'd suggest going for Dodrio instead, as it has more Attack and Speed while Pidgeot is considered the worst of the Flying Types in Gen I. Pidgeot is the standard in most LPs because it is the one of the first Pokemon you can catch in the game, let alone train it up and all that. If you just want to have a Flyig Type filler, than sure Pidgeot gets that job done, but if you want something with more power than Pidgeot, Dodrio is the Pokemon to look at.

Aerodactyl is a Flying Type btw.
i would really like to know if i could use him in-game to get through the elite 4 without having to neglect him. could i?
Yeah, I have. I named him "FLYGUY2" and neglected him 7 years ago when I lost my GBA.
so its possible? i mean could be be of use during the elite 4? or at least before?
If you're talking Fearow, then yeah. I beat the E4 with a Fearow in my team that actually contributed at lvl 50.
