Trading to other games on only one DS?

Question

Can I send a Pokemon through GTS and reserve it for myself or a friend via a friend code? I've done it in Gen V but I don't know if you can in Gen IV. Is it possible?

Yeah I don't think you can reserve Pokemon on the GTS I think you just got lucky.
Unless you have a Pokemon that you believe no one would have an work fast I wouldn't chance using the GTS to trade your Pokemon.

Ex: I dought anyone would have a lv 100 belossum or diglett jut sitting around.
