Why does my Pokemon shake after coming out of a Pokeball in X/Y?

My Espurr shakes after I send it out, and I am curious as to why. Is it close to evolving or something?

I asked a similar question to this and I'm quite relieved to hear it happens with someone else's game too. I did have one question for the asker here, does your Pokemon also seem interested in your bag when it comes out for a battle? Or heal itself from status problems (it blows out a heart when it does, I always like to think its blowing me a kiss-lol) because its amusing me a lot and I feel very happy when it does that (like they really are living right there!)

The same thing happened to me in ORAS when I sent out my Gallade after playing with it in Pokemon Amie A LOT.

Pokemon with high affection due to Pokemon Amie (3 hearts or higher) shake. They also "wait for your directions" rather than just saying for you to choose a move. AND FINALLY, they can sometimes (my Pikachu has done it twice so far) endure hits, leaving them with 1 HP left when it would KO Pokemon with lower affection. A heart comes up from their in battle sprite and I believe it says something like "name endured the hit to show your name its tough side!"

This also occurs with poison also... pkmn's name has excreted the poison so your name wouldn't worry.. They do this with paralysis too

They get boosted experience after a battle as well.

They also have a boosted critical hit chance though none of these work in competitive use so i dont use poke-amie so often

Well, my Charizard does the shaking thing even though I never played with it in Amie.

Does this even count in contests? Because I battled using my Glameow which won all of the master rank contests in ORAS. I was trying to catch a pkmn at that time , and it was underleveled so I used my Glameow . It was at the red bar and after it was hit I thought it'd faint but it had 1 hp left. The statement Orangey said was exactly the same one that came up. My Lapras in X didn't shake , I don't use Amie on it , and the statement didn't show up. But for some reason while I was battling Diantha's Gardevoir and it was going finish my Lapras with the supposed final thunderbolt. But it survived! And it was paralyzed to at the moment, then I tried to attack it using surf , and even that worked too! Still no statement showed up. And plus , it was a few levels below Gardevoir's .

I got a Riolu and evolved it into a Lucario, every now and then it will endure the hit, and a capiton will appear and tell me that Lucario looks as if it's about to cry. My Gardevoir also shakes, or jumps in battle but it hasn't given me a caption that it endured the hit or if close to fainting, that it's about to cry.

tl;dr It is a sign of Affection, which is built from playing with your Pokemon in Pokemon Amie.

Pokemon often do this a lot when you play with them, feed them pokepuffs or pokebeans and get three hearts or more affection with their trainer (you). Some of the things they do to show their affection are:

  • endure hits, leaving them with one hp
  • completely avoid opponent's attacks
  • cure themselves of status conditions
  • land critical hits easier

When you have high affection with your Pokemon, it will trigger special sentences to come up when you are battling. Some of them are (I will use a Rockruff for these examples as a Pokemon and Ally for these examples as a trainer. Wherever it says Rockruff or Ally, you or your Pokemon's name will be there if you see the caption.):

  • Rockruff can't wait to begin.
  • Rockruff looks a bit excited.
  • Rockruff seems a bit excited.
  • Rockruff is thinking of Pokebeans (only if you have Sun or Moon)
  • Rockruff seems a little bit out of it...
  • Rockruff seems a little uneasy...
  • Rockruff is reassured by Ally's familiar scent...
  • Rockruff is remembering the first time it met Ally...
  • Rockruff really wants some time to play with Ally...
  • Rockruff seems curious on what is going on around it.
  • Rockruff seems to be interested in the other Pokemon's scent...
  • Rockruff and Ally are breathing in perfect sync with one another!
  • Rockruff is bursting with enthusiasm for battle!
  • Rockruff is looking at Ally with trusting eyes!
  • Rockruff seems curious about Ally's bag...
  • Rockruff trusts Ally to come up with the best strategy!
  • Rockruff turned back toward Ally and nodded in understanding!

As you may assume, different captions and affects come at different times and some captions and affects only come when you have reached a certain level of affection with your Pokemon. For example, the last caption only comes when you are in a battle against a gym leader, kahuna, elite four member, or the champion.
NOW FOR THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION YOU ASKED IN THE FIRST PLACE (why does my Pokemon shake after coming out of the pokeball?):
It is another sign of affection. Pokemon only shake when they have high affection with you.

That happens the same way in Sword and Shield. Technically, the shaking only happens if its affection is approximately at Level 3. If it's Level 4, they jump instead. If it's higher than that, they look at you in the Gen VI and VII games or jump then turn a bit towards you in Sword and Shield.

Also, the fourth phrase is "(Pokémon's name) is thinking of Pokébeans" in the Gen VII games, but it changed to "(Pokémon's name) is thinking about camping" in Sword and Shield.
