If Mew is genderless, what happens if it uses Attract?

Since it has an effect on the opposite gender what will happen? Does it just fail for every pokemon?

This is a good question. The answer is it fails, despite what Bulbapedia has down. The same goes for Cryogonal, the other genderless Pokemon to learn Attract.
